Overview
Day 1-Departure at 8:00 a.m. towards Les Sables d’Olonne . Arrival around 2:00 p.m. Installation at the hotel.
Free time to enjoy its fine sandy beaches, you can walk on the embankment. Unmissable visits to the Prieuré Saint-Nicolas, the fishing port, the Sainte-Croix abbey museum, the different historic districts: The Chaume district, the Passage district, the Olonne district... Night at the hotel.
Day 2 –Breakfast then departure at 10:30 a.m. towards Les Salines . Meeting with the salt worker, explanation of his job, demonstration of the salt harvest, sweet and savory tasting around the Vendéen aperitif.
Lunch in a restaurant near Les Salines then departure for a boat trip on the salt river. End of activities around 4:00 p.m.
After the visit, free time and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3-Breakfast then departure for a boat trip lasting 1 hour 15 minutes, during which you will tour the Phare des Barges, along the wild coast. Formerly monitored by two guards, it was the first French lighthouse to be automated in 1971. Its powerful red light located more than 20 meters high alerts ships to the rocky Barges plateau which constitutes a great danger for coastal navigation. The lighthouse has been registered as a historic monument since 2011.
After the free time ride, departure at 3:00 p.m. for arrival in Paris around 9:00 p.m.
